Thanks mate! Appreciate your help.
was just wondering what are good tyres to get for the s2000? just daily driving tyres. something that would last for at least a couple of years and good for the wet/rainy weather. thats all. no tracking/burnouts/drifts lol...
also how much would they roughly cost? dont wanna be ripped off now.....
what size are you afteR?
well my current tyres are:
Front
-Kumho ecsta spt ku31 - 215/R18 89Y XL
Rear
-Kumho ecsta spt ku31 -235/R18 95y XL
Thats what it says on the tyres...
what size wheels you got? IMO try for wider tyres! But depends on your sizes/offset/low etc
I've currently got a set of Nitto NT555 in 255/40/17 for daily duties. They are great!. Decent grip, loads of tread depth so should get decent life out of them. Fine in the rain. $130 a tyre. Can recommend.
bumping a really old thread.
Bought 17x8 +32 and 17x9 +37 for my s.
I really don't want to pull the guards..... can i get away with running a 215/45 front and 245/40 rear? with a roll and some negative camber?
any help much appreciated, been receiving mixed responses so I am still unsure.
I have 17 x 8 + 45 on 225/45/17 square set up on my S. Here are the condition of my S.
1. Both F&R fenders are rolled.
2. Fronts don't have any more room with -2.25 camber,
3. Rear would have approx 5-10mm room with -1.5 camber.
4. Car is lower than stock. I have Tein Mono Flex and have recommended height setting from Tein
Given the conditions, you will have issues with both front & rear unless you put crazy amount of -ve camber.
Good luck with fitting.
