Does anyone have any ideas to fix an srs light that stays on.
The diagnostic says codes 02-02 and 02-01 - increased resistance in front passengers airbag inflator. But the car has no passenger side airbag???
I have reset the srs system but it still is staying on and it just failed a pink slip because of it.
If anyone has any ideas on what I can check, fix replace (appear to be fixed) I would be extremely grateful.

even though you don't have a passanger airbag you may have the loom which needs to be plugged into something.
I'd disconnect your battery and then follow all the yellow looms to make sure they're all plugged in correctly. SRS plugs usually have to push in and then theres a latch you need to pull as well.
Just make sure all your fuses are good as well. You may have a hair line crack in one or something weird which is still making a connection but only slightly.
Also check any grounds that you can find, make sure they're secure and not rusty.
I just had to reset my SRS light after my alarm installer decided to unplug some looms while he was under there. *shakes head*

If the above all fails, i can guide u to a fix that i had to do to a mates car. Pm if your interested.
although you do not have an pasangers inflator the wireing is there and it leads to a dummy resistor. You need to disconnect the battery and then the disconnect the dummy resistor and check its resistance,
ensure you reset the ECU corectly, diconnecting the battery will not do it. There is a special procedure

I traced the wires through to the srs ecu and have found the passenger airbag connector. Unfortunately I don't have a multimeterto test the ressistor but ill be able to borrow one on Monday.
I have reset the srs a few times and have no issues there to do it again once I work out the ressistor issue.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement resistor from though ?

lol wont get a resistor at dick smiths anymore, i went to one in perth and the guy asked me what a resistor was...
i explained it to him in the most caveman speech i could summon and he said they dont sell electrical components anymore.

Yeah i have a funny feeling dickies is no longer a source of good components and more focusing on selling tvs and stereos.
Ok so given the apparent legal implications of not using a genuine Honda part in an srs system, and the fact that the (f-head) mechanic that nocked back the pinkslip may check the resistor after I tell him its been fixed.
Does anyone know the part number of one of these resistors and if a local repco would be able to order it in?-
If not and I need to get one from Jaycar are they 2.2 OHM ?
its not the guy who is passing the car for inspection you have to worry about its if you have a crash and someone gets hurt and upon inspection they find you have modified your SRS system. your in deep ****
your not even allowed to repair SRS wiring. IT must be replaced.
Ok well I will deal with the ramifications of my repaired srs system, which is replacing a faulty resistor. I dont plan on splicing wires and running a coffe machine through it I just want the light to work correctly along with the system.
Either way I plan on replacing this resistor myself and not paying an autoelectricion to do the same job which could cost a large sum of money.
You are correct if I am in a crash and the one airbag deploys in a faulty fashion that somehow explodes too late or too early I will have to deal with the consequences if someone gets hurt.
If it turns out its more than the resistor to get it working there is no way in hell im getting into the srsecu thats just a bit techy and not something I want to play with.
Do you know where I can get an OEM resistor? I have a few places to check but its difficult without a specific part number

its located where the pasangers inflator would be, you should see a yellow loom suddeenly stop and at the end will the the dummy resistor.
the passenger airbag has some wiring that runs down to the centre console frame, so I would suspect it's somewhere around there

if you're sitting in the passenger seat, it would be where your right foot is (behind that panel)

It turned out to be on the floor behind the center console like dorikin mentioned.
Funny thing was I ended up pulling out half my interior looking for 1. the diagnostic port, then 2. this dummy resistor for the passenger side ... turns out it was all accessible without taking anything apart! (well, except the srs plastic cover, but that was easy).

Page 1 shows the location of both the blue diagnostic port (at least on my '99 model), and the location of the dummy resistor and what it looks like.
The resistor read just over 6 ohm when I tested it, which I'm lead to believe is meant to be 2.2 ohm, hence my 2-2 SRS code for high resistance I guess.
Fingers crossed a new one from honda sorts it out next week!

Quick fix for this issue.
Remove the blub behind the SRS Sign on the dash.
I know of many people doing this, no1 has been caught.

My son brought this car for 100 bucks, had the D4 light flashing, ECU light on, ABS light on and the SRS light on and speedo not working. After lots of google time fixed the D4 light and speedo with ebay Vehicle speed sensor for $15.00.
Removed the ABS unit (big pain in the ar##) took the motor off the bottom, pulled out the little valve, had some small check ball rusted to the valve not letting fluid though. Just cleaned it, all fixed - ABS light now out.
ECU light has not come on after replacing the VSS. So now only have the SRS light to go. I have code 2-2 even after the reset, so hoping this will fix that.

Done well to fix those problems.
Your SRS code 2-2 is increases resistance in the passengers inflator or dummy resistor, remove your dummy resistor and measure its resistance. Should be 2 Ohms

I got only one srs code: 2-2 in my 95 integra but I do actually have a passenger airbag fitted, does that mean the airbag's bad, it's so hard to find a passenger side airbag, been looking for weeks, can anyone confirm this?
You do not have to have a passengers side inflator to have this issue, if you did have a passengers side inflator you would know, follow my instructions in post 26 regarding the dummy resistor as it applied to you.
Have you checked the service manual that code 2-2 is increases resistance in the passengers inflator or dummy resistor for the Integra ?
