MP1A Autotrans information needed

Hi,
I'm completely new to this so please excuse my ignorance to any rules I break, but I'm after some help.
I have two questions:
- Is there is any way to identify from a MP1A transmissions serial number what vehicle VIN it was initially installed in ? This is totally in ordered to more easily identify parts I required.
- Is there anywhere in Australia that can overhaul a LSD out of a MP1A ?
