keeping in mind, a genuine Spoon etc ECU costs rather a lot of money and not all that many people use them. Make sure you arent getting a chipped ECU with an eBay chip inserted instead.
as the above post says in a longer form, you dont need one because if you havent cut corners you already have an ECU that can control the vtec engagement point once you are turbocharged.
if it was on/off, there would be a straight line at 1v and a straight line at 0v. Clearly that isnt the case, and if it were then those little wanky A/F gauges that hook up to narrowband sensors...
it wouldnt sell in high enough volumes to justify it...this argument has already been run through between Honda Australia and other Honda arms with the Civic Type-R many times.
no, you will get MORE life out of the engine with a proper ECU and injectors, even on a stock block. There is no point in building a forged engine if you are going to run it half-arsed.
the Nankang NS2's are better than FK451's. i've used both quite a bit and wont be getting the Falkens again. Yet to use the Kumho's, might try them out next time.
i hope you have factored in the cost of the fuel system, new clutch etc into how much you originally wanted to spend. You'll need some sort of ECU and injectors.
