Today I destroyed one of the intake manifold studs trying to tighten up the carby manifold on my D16y1 to get rid of the vacuum leaks that are plaguing me at the moment... :(
D16y1 is in and running on the carbs... run lean on idle because the carby manifold doesn't mate up to the Y1 head completely due to having gaps in between the runners for vacuum equalisation which,...
I can't find anything regarding whether a loom is required when doing the carby conversion, nor do can I find if the D16Y1 and D15B4 are 100% interchangeable without swapping anything over...
IMO the easiest and cheapest conversion for an ED (considering we all got dual carbies) is to stick a D16Y1 motor in it and leave it carburetted... That's what I'll be doing... Either that...
Because the car is Carbureted it can be tuned manually, basically meaning I can attempt to tune it myself. Having a wideband on a carby car means that I can tune it as I drive.
The car is carbureted though, I didn't think that it would need an o2 sensor... That's why I'm asking if anyone has any experience regarding these 'computer controlled' carbs...
I'm hoping that maybe, because we got the Dual Carb motor in not just the ED but also the EG civic, that we can get a thread together regarding any information we have learnt as a...
I've broken the indicator stalk on my ED6 and need to replace it (superglue didn't work very well unfortunately). I'm just wondering if anyone knows if they are the same unit as on an...
i just replaced the plugs on my mum's jazz... went from NGK Iridium (standard) to Denso Iridium cost <$100 for the set, and labor was free cos i did it ;)
it's actually gx 2.2, but it's got billies in it, upgraded brakes, and semi-leather front seats with the drivers seat being motorised...
edit: and it's got the RX bodykit on it and has had a respray...
might seem a little weird for me to be signing up here considering i don't even own a Honda... but my first car was an ED (1988?) Hatch (gotta love D15B4 dual carbs :P) and both my mum...
