    Hey People

New to this forum (nice forum btw) and interested in buying the Civic Type R 3 Door hatch - 07 or 08 model. just wondering if there are any problems with them? things to look out for ? bad batch at all? gear box issues? etc

Any feedback would be really appreciated!

the main issues are, some have small rust spots in the doors at the top most point of the door, look under the rubber to see it, some people have also had issues with 3rd gear being notchy or not engaging correctly

i actually see a rust looking yellow spot on the plastic casing of the headlamp
i cant really tell if its a rust coz i cant reach there without taking out the whole unit.

as for gears, yes 3rd gear is a bit hard to engage for mine, but if its not the faulty group then with practice u should be able to cure it.

add one more flaw: no AUX jack, and the headunit will give u a headache if u want to tweak around with it. i still couldnt find a solution to make it work properly with conversion kit.

i was trying to install the dension gateway 300 thingy...
my iphone could charge up and it shows accessory attached.
but for some reason i just cant make the headunit to go into CDC mode to play from the kit.
the tech told me to do firmware upgrade on te kit, and it kinda worked for once. then when i unplugged it to put back together my car, its not responding again.......

lol thx for the info first, but since its most likely the unit's problem, ive already made the official dension dev team to scratch their head over it.
