    Honda Civic EK oil change

    Hi Guys

Im due for a service, which im looking at doing myself. What oil is recommended for this model? (Civic EK 2000 model) Also will any oil filter do the trick?

Im nearing 110,000km, at what stage should I change the fuel filter? I dont think it has been changed previously. Any recommendations on a fuel filter?

    Thanks

stick to Honda, dont use other oil filters (unless if you have to Hamp)

use Honda oil as it will do the trick for your daily

fuel filter is an easy job, just remember to open ur fuel cap to release fuel pressure in the line before removing the fuel filter, Honda items are cheap enough and instock

    simple to do

Get your hands on a Honda Civic Manual. Or download one off the net. Fully detailed directions on simple servicing. Can't go wrong.

    And yes... Use OEM.

I just changed my fuel filter last week. You can buy the OEM fuel filter for around $40.

It can be a bit of a pain and a mess to install. I suggest you refer to the service manual, it has step by step guide on how to relieve the pressure and undo the filter etc.
