yea u can do tat but be careful tho.. since the size of eg hatch's front bumper is slightly smaller from the eg sedan's bumper..
so depending on how the person is fitting the hatch's bumper, the hatch's front lip might not fit the new "fitment" when it's already on the EH (eg sedan) body..

here's a sample of mine from a while back.. n frm my xperience, u can get a "new" eg hatch bumpr for arnd $250 (forgot if its painted or not)

it looks like a good fit, but when u approach it up close n personal, it's not lolz.. the place where i fit mine, he only "stretches/pulls" the sides to fit, n i'm warning all of yous.. its not the best way to do it

i think the "right" way is to cut a lil bit of the sides, juz off the corner then put an "add on" to it (abt 5cm), to lengthen the side, so tat it'll reach the EH's front fender bolt position..
coz the major problem is the sides of the hatch's bumper since it's a lil bit shorter than the sedan's.. n yes the front part is a lil bit less wide as well

It doesn't look that bad, you can see where it doesn't line up at the guard as well as the little crease where the bonnet meets the bumper

But i still prefer my sedan bumper
