I did my dash a few months back. I used the same brand bulbs as the ones on front page. T6.5mm and T5mm

    thanks guys,

but, just be careful when taking of the black plastic gard, i got inpatient with mine and pulled it from one end, and snapped the corner vent from the back. but you can see it so thats good.. just take your time and it will come, make sure to pull it from both sides, not just one

Thanks for the DIY. I found the heater control panel tough.
Just wanted to add some tips and ideas I got by following ICYOIL -hope you don't mind me referring to your pics:

You can unplug the ashtray light (green) and slot it underneath the ashtray to expose it - use it as a map light or feet light or shove in a UV led and drive with a white shirt at night.

    cross-sectional pic of screw location
note the pic is LHD so the air mix cable (temp change wire) is on the other side - just look under your glovebox for the blue cable as ICYOIL stated.

The back of my plug was connected to the foot vents by a clip - I broke mine trying to rip it off. So after unplugging, you should slide the plug to the left to release it from the clip.

To dismantle the metal arms from the face of the heater console:
    1) push the two sides in to release that arm. 2) theres a plastic plug (not pictured) that sits ontop of the end of this arm, turn it anti-clockwise and pull it off to release the arm.

My gauge lights before I changed it all to blue.

    awesome write up!!!

I've been waiting for someone to do a diy dash lights for eg. I was actually just trying to remove the plastic around the dash and it is a b*tch to remove because I didn't wanna risk snapping the clips.

I don't know if I missed something, but are there only 2 lights for the climate control?

Anyone having problems with the lights flickering on and off? Happens cuz you know the little circut sheet that runs along the gauge, its come loose from taking the bulbs out a few times, now sometimes the lights dont work
Anyone know how to fix this

only thing i can think of is to wedge sumthin thin between the circuit and the cluster. so that there is still contact between the globe housing and the circuit.
