Props to ICYOIL for this write up.
Just finished the second part of the install today, cant wait till tonight to have a look.
WIll post pics if ppl are interested.
Note* I used led's, all were t5's and all work. I also did the black holders not just the brown ones, so i replaced all the lights in my dash. Im my opinion it looks great, nice colour, and bright enough. If anyone has questions about this im happy to answer them.
    Just my 2c, Mod.

Man I did this last year on my EG and yeh the air con cable was a psycho!

Have you guys heard of a site called superbrightleds? I bought mine there after buying cheap ebay ones 3 times and dealextreme ones once and they all die really quickly (can't cope with the voltage spikes in cars). All the ones I tried died within a few days (or started flickering).

The ones on superbrightleds have been designed to cope with automotive spikes and have built in current limiting resistors. I've had them in my DC2 dash for 3 months now and going awesome. For my EG I just ended up painting the bulbs.

Just a thought in case you guys want to use LEDs but find they keep dying! Saves you guys wasting heaps of money like I did... There's a minimum spend on the LED's so if anyone wants to buy some with me I'm happy to buy together!

why not go to an electrical wholesaler place, im sure they stock leds in that size and they might be durable
