    EK Cup Holder Installed

    Hey OzHonda,

I just thought I would show you guys my new cup holder
This is my solution to the EK CXI cup holder problem, and it cost me a whole lot less time and money than finding a JDM part.

The cupholder that I have put in is one out of a 2000 Dihatsu Sirion. It was the one that was built into the dash, and conveniently is very similar in size to the Din in the shift console of the EK Civics.

    Here is the Final Product:

It holds cans perfectly and looks sorta stock.
Let us know what you think!

    Thanks for the feedback.

You can fit 2 medium maccas cups in there no troubles, and cans are fine. But I think anything larger than a medium maccas cup would be an issue (no slushies )

It isnt really a struggle to put cans in, You can put them in and take them out with no issue.

To put it into the car, i had to modify the bracket a bit.
There is a small gap at the very top (less than 1mm), but apart from that, it sits nicely.

looks great, but would you have to tilt the can before taking it out?
which means you gotta drink like 20% of your can, before u start using the cup holders or else there'd be spillage hahah

    not bad though

That is a slight flaw in the design of the cup holder. But if you have a sip of the drink before you put it in, there is no real problem. It is only a very slight tilt that is required to move the can.
