Installing a JDM Arm Rest Eliminator, DC2

Disclaimer: The following are provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself. nor the original writer, nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

    Items to you need:
    -Screwdriver
    -Flat Head (For Prying)
    -A wrench for the nuts.
    -A Jdm Arm Rest Eliminator

Well, are you sick of your elbows hitting the arm rest or just want a weight reduction or just tired of the look, heres the fix.

    Before. Not my pic.

    After. not my pic.

First, you want to pry open the cover for the bolts,

remove the screws, then remove the screws on the both sides of the arm rest, pushing the chairs back and reclining them foward would make it easier.

once all the screws are out, pull the arm rest up the out. once then you should have something that looks like this.

when i tried installing it, i relised that there was something that needed to be removed.

So what we have to do is the remove the 2 bolts that hold them in, Once you have removed the bolts, remove the metal bracket from underneath. you could simply bend it underneath and take it out, by sliding it from one side without removing the carpet.
Then once removed, line up the bolts to re-bolt the handbrake wires in, and make sure its tight.
If you have a arm brake eliminator bracket simply just replace it with the arm rest bracket.
and then you should have something that looks like this.

Yep thats it, Also im in need of a bracket for the arm rest eliminator, if anyone has it please PM me.

    Cheers!

I think only the Acura models in the states came with a armrest, with a suede lid.

No. They are not in the DC2R because there isn't enough space between the two SR3 seats for one.

Well technically you can fit one in, but it's a very, very tight squeeze.

The yankee Acura DC2Rs have the armrest because they didn't get Recaros, but just alcantara lined regular seats.
