ebay short throw shifters - good or bad

    hey people,

well as the title suggests, just wondering if anyone has purchased and is using these items? does it make much difference. What sort of quality are they and how hard are they to fit?

personally i cant speak for this brand, but for the expense of $20 odd it cant hurt to experiment.

if you go with this set up, i would recomend you invest in a well weighted gear knob, that will make all the difference in your throw

to fit the short shifter its not a 5 min job, providing you have an idea on how to fit it you'll be right...

if you're planning to get it with a weighted shift knob, weksos sells them in a combo with skunk2 shift knob, short shifter and CTR shift boot at about $220AUD shipped i think..its cheaper than getting it here.

Aluminium / Alloy shifters tend to break - especially when you're tracking - I've seen a couple do that.

We make ours from carbon steel, and is weighted to provide exceptional feel. Additionally, we also use sealed ball bearings where it connects to the rod instead of just orings. :-p

Sure, it costs more than an Ally one but then, the saying is, you get what you pay for.
