    fuel consumption on vtir

    Im interested in buying a integra vtir as a run around.
    Now is it any good on fuel? Ive looked up redbook but i want opinions on people that have the actual car.

    Anyone give guidance on amount of kms it pulls out until fuel light comes on. Driving habits etc. Year of car and how many kms it has.

    Im just wondering if its not going to be much difference between this and normal d16y civic... im definately going to go for the integra vtir

    thanks in advance

    I'm at around 7.5l/100km but I'm running rich.. And that's driving pretty conservatively, with a squirt here and there

    My 98' vti-r (139xxxkms, catback & CAI) gets around 350-400km a tank. I havent had the car long and i do enjoy giving it a squirt here and there like 'tRipitaka' posted above. Overall not too bad, just depends on how often you wana keep 'hitting vtec'

    Costs me $50 after the light comes on to fill up with Shell V Power. Just remember you're buying a car that uses premium petrol!

    I get around 450km/h in my 1994 147,000km VTi-R. Bone stock except SRI. But my drive everyday is wierd - Parramatta to Hurstville. There is 40 min in the morning, takes me a good hour and ten to get back. Traffic is awful coming back so lots of start stop madness.

    Pretty conservative driver though, normal changes are around 2,700 rpm, overtaking at approx. 4200rpm per change. Almost never drive it hard. VTEC sounds cool but I never get there. I know, I'm boring. I've only had it since late December though!

    Turbo dc2.

    600kms to a tank if its nothing but highway. Its limited start stop.
    270kms if everyday driving with a heavy foot.

    Though. It has lower compression pistons. Less air = Less fuel.

    Stock DC2 - averaged 10L/100kms - so 500kms a tank.
    DC2 w/ JDM B18C (R) / ITB's - average 8L/100kms - so 625kms a tank.

    iv;e got both ek d16 motor and dc2 b18

    Ek= normal driving + 98 vpower = 400kms = $45
    Dc2= normal driving + 98 vpower + giving it a hit here and there = $50 -$55

    remember guys there will be a some difference to efficiency depending on how you look after the car. just service regularly and you'll get the most out of your car.
