    Just got a CBR1000rr

Just bought myself this CBR1000rr '07 model.
Been off the bikes for 2 years since I sold my CBR1100xx Blackbird back to the old man... Been a long 2 years to be off the bikes, only had the dirt bike (YZ250) to give me that riding fix...
Can't wait to get out on it for a good ride, waiting on my mate to get his GSXR1000 fixed up after he ran up the back of a panel van.... Hopin for a Phillip Island trip for the moto gp towards the end of the year.... Only time will tell...

These are the only other pics I have, besides whats on my phone. Haven't picked her up yet, waiting on a new rear tyre and battery, then she'll be rego'd and ready to pick up. Was hopin to get her this Friday but found out today the battery needed is not carried by most places, apparently it needs to be ordered in from Honda which will take 5 days.... Not real happy about it as you could imagine, was lookin forward to a decent ride this long weekend, but shit happens. Just gotta be patient I guess.
Probably not a bad thing with the whole double demerits... Will be hard to resist giving it a bit...
    Cheers for the comments guys.
Oh and she has 9800 kms.
Will be up for rides in the Sydney area in the near future. Will definately be keeping an eye on whats coming up...
    Cheers, Jay

This model looks smaller & more compact than the current one. What do u reckon?

    Anywayz, good work. Sweet purchase!

Looks like they streamlined the clutch housing and waterpump etc , moved it back. My 2009 cb400 looks wider ! ( it IS a 20 yr old design tho lol )

Finally picked the bike up yesterday, it's now sitting pride of place in my shed.
So happy to have it here, after 3 weeks of stuffing around and many sleepless nights I can now rest easy.
Picked her up in Newcastle, then went for a ride to the Central Coast to do some visiting (showing off) haha.
First impression was wow, the power this thing has and the response is unreal.
Rode it home today (350kms) which allowed me to get a good idea on fuel consumption, topped it up when the light came on, took 12.7 L and reset the trip meter, was unsure of what sort of kms this would give me so topped it up again after 160kms, it took 9.8 L. So based on that I can safely say I can get 16 kms/L, most of the riding done in this time was fairly cruisy at 110km/h, with the good occasional spurt to overtake and just for fun.
Only took her to 160 so far, just testing the response at different revs.
All in all I'm so impressed with the performance and found it surprisingly comfortable, I did get a sore arse but thats to be expected after 2 years off bikes. Can't wait to have a weekend away on it, also g'd up the old man to get the blackbird out for a run real soon, looking forward to that.
Will be taking plenty of pics tomorrow after I give her a detail, will post some up.
    Cheers, Jay
