Going into reverse

hey i've got a 99 EK right, does anyone else besides me find it hard sometimes to get my car into reverse? Soemtimes it won't go in, or makes a funny noise - my mechanic says it's fine but sometimes it annoys me. Does anyone else have this problem? Do u know how to fix it? My mate has this problem in has '95 Teggy so maybe it's just a Honda thing...??? :?
