    K20A head on k24a block

Just wondering if it would be worth the cost of putting a k20a head off either a integra type r or a ep3r on the k24a? Has anyone looked into this or actually done it? Thanks guys.

    Wrong section.
Unless something is wrong with your K20A I wouldn't do it,
Rather just complete K24. or Complete K20.

In terms of value doing it from scratch, no.
    K24 Block = ~$2000. K20 Block = ~$5000.

The only reason why you would do this is,
If you had a K20A blew the block, salvage the head and whack it on-top of a K24 bottom end.

Benefits? Not much I don't think.

Correct me if I am wrong.

yes, it has been done. i have no idea if it's worth it over building a k24, but i'm fairly sure a built k20/k24 > a built k20. as above, feel free to corect me as i have never done it.

What car do you plan to do this to? Technical would describe just the engine, while us in the Accord Euro section would tell you to save up another $5000-8000 for an aftermarket ECU that works with the Euro. Slapping the head of a k20a into an Euro and trying to drive without an aftermarket ECU would just give you a nicely damaged engine.

You'd really only swap the K20 head on as a preliminary step for a serious engine build
