    yeah it was the resistance of the VTEC solenoid, so i changed it and now it engages.

    90% of VTEC problems is solenoid related..

    so a lesson learnt, if u wash ur vtec engine bay down, make sure u plastic bag the distributor, filter and most importantly VTEC solenoid.....

    The solenoid is an electromechanical device, so it does wear out eventually.

    yep haha i'm scared to wash my engine bay again... and thats right, they do wear out over time anyway.
