    inaccurate rev guage

    hey guys,

my rev guage is about 400 - 500 revs off! i know its no big deal, but im just really fussy about these sort of things! loll.. ive got a monster tacho which is accurate.. the monster tacho redlines at 7200 as a d16y1 should, where as the original guage redlines at about 6700 rpm.. is there any way of fixing this? everythings plugged in properly and all.. i dont know though, is it meant to be like that?

    thanks guys

The engine can sometimes out pace the RPM gauge in neutral and maybe first and second.

Another thing it might be, do you have the stock tacho? the printed readings might be different from the engine.
