    K24a3 capabilities

Hey is the euro engine capable of 8500rpm stock? Coming from a teg vtir 7000rpm seems low lol.

K24 does not really need to rev high to make decent power, the factory limiter is just about spot on.
But you can get them to rev high IF you have the $$$ and its alot of $$ too

    K24 is basically a stroked K20
Rotating mass of a K24 at 7000rpm is the equivalent of a K20 @ 8500rpm with respect to the stroke

Best things to do to a K24 IMO is K20R Intake cam + IM, Header/Exh, Pulleys/Flywheel and the much needed K-pro Dual if a post 2007 euro

And the maximum 45deg VTC - this is very importnat to any K24 variant and should be one of the first things you do.
bear in mind you will need Programmable ECU to run it properly too.

K24 is a very capable engine providing you choose your parts carefully.

how does one achieve this and is it cheap mod or is there an effective cheap mod in this context, or it will be pricey no matter what?

For 7300 and above, you're looking at the minimum of uprated valve springs and seats. And then you might look at more aggressive cams to get a bit better breathing at that top end of the RPM range.

The block can do 8000rpm for moderate periods but it depends on the condition of course. I believe JDMYard has their EGK24A with a stock block doing 8000rpm. Head has nice bits though.

id be looking at uprading my oil pump to somthing that is designed to pump oil at those RPM and change the VTC before looking at upgrading my head, then again id just buy a k20 over a 24 so i dont have to worry about this kind of stuff

budget around $400 for the k20 50deg vtc actuator + labour and tuning (if you have a sensor-bender capable enough)
alternatively you can get the oem k24 vtc machined to whatever you like, its a little cheaper.

DO NOT TUNE TO RUN MORE THAN 45DEG MAX VTC - valves & pistons become one.

On my EGK24A we limit it to 8000 rpm for circuit racing and 8400 rpm for Drag Racing.
Im still using stock K24A3 oil pump . Stock block . Buddyclub N+ cams , Buddyclub dual valve springs , Buddyclub titanium retainers , 50 degree VTC.
Had the motor since 2007 and still using the same motor till today.
