HELP!!! - Engine Light keeps popping up!

Hi guys, I have a Dec 2005 built Jazz VTI-S.

The engine light has come on twice within five days. I got it reset today and the engine light came back on again for the third time in the afternoon.

I notice that it only comes on when im on the motorway like M5

When my mate put his scanner on it said Catalyst Efficinecy below threshold. <bank 1>, he also used another scanner and it said Catalyst Deterioration?

    Your help will be appreciated

Hey. Sorry since when on the topic of engine lights popping up.
I've recently installed X-force headers and High Cat flow and ive extended the o2 senor longer to reach the hole.
I've tried using my mates scanning tool aswell, it seems to go away for acouple of days/hrs then comes straight back on.
    Can anyone help?

    Check your engine oil level.

If it is low the engine light will come on.

If I had my Jazz handy, I would have a look, but go out and have a look at your cat converter, does it have a O2 sensor in it?

A lot of modern cars are putting TWO O2 sensors in now, one at the headers, then one at the cat converter to keep an eye on the efficiency of the cat converter, by the sound of it, your second (the one at the cat converter) O2 sensor is toast!

This is of course, if the Jazz does run the TWO O2 sensors :P

Yea its got two...one in front of the cat and one at the back.

The cats not rattling and stinking up so its still good.
I was thinking the the sensors too. not sure which one it is though.
