GaDgeT's ED9 CRX - Build Thread and Worklog - 56K Warning!!
Sup Crew,
Few of you on here already know me and my ride, but thought id kick off a worklog on OzHonda for my CRX and all the time, money, DIY, blood, sweat, tears that have gone into making it ;p
Here is a summary of whats gone in so far..

4GA Power wire / custom cables / disti block
Custom tweeter pods
Custom sub box
Custom Amp Rack
Iphone / USB / Source
So ill guess ill start from the start.. stock as a rock, and ready to start draining my wallet ;p
Fist thing was to re-build the motor, as the piston rings were shot and blowing sum nasty smoke through years of prior punishment. Full rebuild, rings, bearings, seals, tune.. This combined with a cold air induction, 2.5" catback exhaust and 4" N1 carbon muffler for flow and tone.
Then through overuse of ambitious starts, enter Heavy Duty Exedy clutch, combined with a full gearbox rebuild, replacement of all linkage bushes and short shifter.
This car was never designed to drive in a straight line, so handling and suspension have been at the forefront of the mods.. Big ass wide tyres with super sticky rubber, lowered king springs, KYB shocks, front / rear strut braces, replacement of ALL bushes, tie rod ends, castor rod ends, trailing arm etc for go-kart like handling on the roads.
Upgraded discs and brakes, BBS slotted rotors / lucas pads for added stopping power.
As the car has now clocked 20yrs of age, a major part of the budget has been spent on restoration of the shell / body with a full respray and kit fit done a few years back.

Have spent the past 12mths rebuilding, retrimming and repainting the interior, much bigger job than I originally expected ;p Involved pulling every internal panel out, then working my magic to give a unique refresh and look to the interior..
Dash out..
retrimmed top section
doors off, re-trimmed, re-dyed
re-dyed all the boot, door bits
made up new door card and boot inserts, and trimmed every panel that I could remove
Made up a custom dash insert to house some new internal gauge bling ;p
SQ Audio upgrade, amps, speakers, headunit and wiring
Custom made sub box, molded off the rear boot plastics, made up from fibreglass and MDF

Replaced all factory power and speaker wire, 4GA Power and Earth, and made custom speaker runs to all the speakers
New boot insert, amp rack and sub into the rear of the car
And this is how it all came out, back together and re-instated to her daily driving duties ;p
Have left out a lot of the DIY processes that has gone into the build, but happy to answer any questions you may have for anyone wanting to undergo a similar project..
Am in the final stages of finishing up all the bits and pieces, but overall am wrapped with the way it all turned out! Not an easy job, but really satisfied with the visual result, and the audio has to be heard to be appreciated ;p
Will keep the updates coming as they happen, will never be finished with the build, and am always thinking towards the next mod, repair or install. Lookin forward to the coming year, competing in the SQ audio comps, more to follow
