97 Civic EK D16Y4 no injector pulse

Hey all, have a stock standard 97 EK civic with a D16Y4.
Fault: car was running fine, turned off, 10 minutes later jumped back in and no go.
Checked basics: had fuel, fuel pump runs and has good pressure & good spark but no injector pulse. Injectors have 12v to yell/blk wire but no negative pulse from ecm. Car will run if spray fuel into intake. Car will also run (roughly) if earthing injectors out by tapping wire to earth quickly. Checked injector resistance (all 4 about 11.6 ohms) Checked wiring continuity from injectors to ecm ok (cyl 1-4 joined & cyl 2-3 joined). Checked wiring from distributor to ecm ok.
Replaced distributor with new unit, no change. Tried another ECM from wreckers (same part number but not sure if it was a runner before dismantling wreck), no change. Any thoughts? (when car is running on aero start tacho on dash works and cel does not come on and there are no fault codes logged.

Guys, we have the exact same problem. The distributor works in another car. Another thing that we can think of is the immobilizer. Is it inside the ecu or under the dash?
    Thanks

    both

the green key on the cluster will flash if your being immobilised.

its either your ECU or Immobiliser, have you lost the transponder from within the key ?

is the green key on the cluster flashing when you try to start it

if the immobiliser has kicked in you wont be able to crank the engine anyway
