    Integra DC5 Central Locking Problem

    Hey fellas,
I currently own a 2002 Integra DC5 Special Edition, and suddenly my driver side door doesnt lock with the remote anymore :O!

When i go to lock it with the remote, the passenger side and the rear boot locks, but the driver side doesnt lock. I now have to use the key to lock the car which i find to be a awesome bother esp at night, having to find that keyhole "doesnt look to attractive doing that either" xD

So to sum it up, using the key, when i lock the driver side, all 3 doors (driver side, passenger and boot) locks up, but the remote only locks the passenger side and the boot.

just wondering what the problem may be? Is there a DIY article that could help me solve the problem? or would i be best to get a professional to look at it?

    Many thanks in advance guys!

theres a thread bout a similar issue on the forum. i had this problem.

1, take the door trim off
2,now that you see the inside of your door, you will see these 2 metel rods
3, lock and unlock the door while watching the rods move, the two metel rods are held together by this metal thing with two screws,
4, undo the 2 scews, flip that metal thing around and screw the rods together to the connector.
5, now test if the two metal rods move a bit more to the right.
6, close the door (dont put the door trim back on) and test it.
7, if all good, put the door trim back on
    8, done!
    snapping 2nd..

a more likely explanation would be that the little door locking motor has seized. Had the same problem with my dc5 on the passenger side.
Wanted to Buy: Any aftermarket parts for DC5 Integra. PM me.

I have the exact same prob with my eg, alot of hondas have problems with theyre locks and doors for some reason. at first my driver side door wouldnt lock so i had to use the key. now it doesnt even unlock! i have to get in and out of my car via the passenger door lol. the guys at auto barn told me its the central locking motors. you can pick up a central locking kit for $40. find someone who can install them. Autobarn quoted me $180 to install two C/L motors, but im lookin for somewhere cheaper than that

You can get a cheaper price by going to an alarm specialist shop. They charge less because they have a lot of customers.
