How do I fit an Ultra Racing Front Strut Bar in my DC2?

    Hey guys,

I've just bought an Ultra Racing 2 Point front strut bar, and I intend on putting it on once I get my coilovers...

Anyway, my question for those who have done it before is how did you get around mounting the bar? Both strut towers have wiring looms and the lefthand side has all of the air-con tubing running across it right where the bar mounts.

How do I move these? Has anyone done it before?

This picture shows what I mean

drivers side should be fine, passanger side unbolt the bracket that holds the ac line on the front side of the shock tower, its just to the right of the arrows tip, and bend the line out of the way just enough to fit the strut brace. also helps to manouver the brace on if u jack the car up and drop the shocks

Left side, pry the wire/electric plugs holder with a screw driver, or you could undo it and relocate it lower, right side do as above, undo 10mm bolt that holds the a/c line and just push it outta the way.

    pic should help abit

Thanks, but still doesnt really help

I'll sort it out, can't be too hard. Just a matter of finding a place to put the looms.

remove the metal wiring harness's completely and use cable ties to tuck the wiring up behind the strut towers (and under battery)

remove the bracket holding on the a/c line, wrap the a/c line with some 5mm black foam padding (so brace wont rub on metal), install brace and remount the a/c line to the strut tower around the brace (might require a little force)

heres one i prepared earlier ...
