    Shift cover

    I was wondering if there is any way to change the shift cover without taking out the console? If there is can someone explain? Its not the original cover is aftermarket. I have attached a picture of it if that helps in anyway

    i dont think you can without taking the console off cause i think there are clips underneath. You can maybe just rip it out? LOL

    lol i considered it but then i didnt wanna incase i broke the clip lol

    It uses staples (to the plastic frame which is then screwed to the console) and it isn't hard to get the console off.

    Unfortunately you've gotta take the whole thing apart as shown in that DIY. I wish i could take the boot out like that too - then i could adjust my short shifter so easily
