    where to Re-thread a bolt hole

    I just bought a bal bearing turbo and have noticed that the 2 bolts holes for the waste gate have been stripped, does any1 kno a place in sydney that rethreads?? i tried searchn on the net but hav a virus, keeps stuffin up my browser. Thanks in advance.

    just buy a cheapo tap set.

    something like this but a cheapo one.

    You can buy cheapo tap sets from $2 shops.

    LOL

    does the job.

    If it were a tool that would be used fairly often then I wouldn't cheap out.

    on the turbos its a stud, just remove the stud with another one.
    Due to heat on the turbos the studs do break down

    If your tapping make sure you take it slow and reverse it every now and then. Nothing worse then trying to tap a new thread and the tap breaks on you. I use to work at an engineering workshop, even the expensive taps break easily.
