    DC5r Wheel flush fitment

Hi guys ive been always on here looking via my friends profile and finally after the 2mins its taken ive recently made a profile.

After much money spent on my blue dc5r, its about to get back on the road after i did a port and polish, extractors, headers, manifold, full stainless exhaust system, cai intake, and a very very expensive audio setup has just been fitted.

Anyways last but not least i want to get some wheels, cause im just over the stock type r wheels.

Looking for a good flush/aggressive fitment, without rolling guards and camber etc.

So was asking if these ROTA DPT
    Gunmetal Grey
    PCD 5 x 100/114.3
    Offset: 44+
    Size 18 x 8.5

would be ideal? and if so? what would be the best wheel size to avoid rubbing whilst looking hella tuff? (i.e wider)

Extractors and headers are the same thing. I suggest a Kpro and a tune to fully utilise the parts you installed and for the port and polish be effective. Should have upgraded to a better intake manifold like a RRC and upgraded internals since you popped the engine out to save some money.
Ideal offset on a DC5 are +30 IMO however you also need an appropriate wheel diameter and width to go with it. I have 17x8+42 at the front and +47 at the rear, not really happy but it will do. I wish I had something 18x8+30. Try JDM whel imports his a trader on here for wheels.

You cant say a +30 offset is ideal, it has to go in proportion with the width as well. if your width was 9-10" and your offet is +30, that'll be very nice, but a 6.5" wheel witha +30 offset wouldnt be that great.

Would it be possible to fit rims 17x9 +22 all round for the DC5S?
How much guard work do you think I'll need?

    Cheers

^you can fit 17x9 +22 on the S. will need lots of camber (depending on height) and definitely will need guards rolled. mate of mine runs 17x9 +20 on his S. hella cambered and rolled, also stretch tyres (225/45/17).

I personally hate guards being pulled/flared.. The dc5 already has a gentle pumped look.. If u pull that - imo your ruining the body... I would acheive low offset wheels by dumping and camber arms/plates to achieve the camber angle neccessary to have the aggressive fitment. This and stretched tyres go hand in hand.

If you wanna go race look and not USDM... 7.5-8.5 on the width with +33 offset

yeh i always list header/extractors together just a habit. anyways i did intake manifold, booking it in for a tune next week. Ahh the joys of having both a brother and a father that own workshop with tuning equipment and dynos. haha. so back to the original question however, would the rims as posted above sit nice or would they look shit?.
