    custom paint jobs

    Hi,

So i am looking at respraying my car, its an ej8 thats getting sprayed with konig unkowns (rims).
This is the colour of the rims

I am trying to decide on a blue.
I have found these two blue's SSBP (Supersonic Blue Pearl) B90P & EBP (Electron Blue Pearl) B955P both are oem paint codes.

I like both :S Its a hard decision. I also thinking of spraying my bonnet in satin black.

    What blue would you go?

    Thanks

You're getting paint 'miscellaneous' paint mixed to that colour, you're not getting 'Honda oem paint'.

So no, the same colour from a different car manufacturer will not change the price.

is this blue very unique or would there ones close to it? eg without the pearl?

nothing will be close to the supersonic blue with out a pearl in it. honestly pay good money for good paint and a good beater/painter.

with regards to your edited questions:

Its a silly question. The company that makes the best looking blue is in the eye of the beholder. Soome people will swear that Bayside Blue found on R34 skylines is the best blue ever, others will say its Fords Blueprint as found on the BA falcon.

Youre best off going and looking at a few car dealerships, having a look on the internet, or even going to the panel beater and saying "i want a colour similar to this, but more/less pearl etc etc"

thats the only way youre gonna get what you want.

The internet doesnt hold the answer to all your questions, as much as you may want it to.

He's just asking for some bloody examples of blue paints, albeit clumsily.

Blueprint is pretty ugly, in my opinion, but the follow-up colour on the next model (Shockwave?) looks pretty good.

You just proved Trism's post correct.

OP, do some research, Find a blue that you like, not what someone on the internet likes.
    Problem?

    It's not that hard TBH.

    I went here:

And now I'm sitting like this:

If I can jump on to it like that (I usually take my time with shit), then I'm sure you can look at a colour chart and pick one

The best thing you can do it go to a paint shop and get a colour chart of blues, they will have tabs which have many different colours, put it next to your car and see which one you like the best!

If the paint has pearls, chances are it's not going to be a 100% match, as it's nearly impossible to make pearls and there will always be TINY TINY VERY TINY differences, most of the time not even noticable (depending on the person painting/mixing your paints).

You should be happy that you're not getting OEM Honda paint anyway, it sucks ass haha..
