Integra GSI with Type R ECU?

Ive searched and didnt find anything, I was just wondering, if a Integra Type R ECU would fit into a Integra GSI.

this is for a (97') Integra GSI.

I'm assuming if it does fit, itll have to be tuned. (obviously) lol.

and was wondering where i could get the chip. In SE Vic.

Why do you want the type r ecu in the first place?
Imo, why waste time with the type r ecu + chip + tuning money when you could spend that money on other mods or things.

Is your motor stock? original b18a no major mods?

Yes technically it would fit, as your car is 97 obd2 and itr is obd2... but it will do more damage than good.
You would be getting a check engine light while the ecu looks for the vtec soleniod and pressure switch.

IMO if your planning on modding the GSi engine (which really there is no point unless your going for a forced induction build)
get either a OBD1 chippable p28 computer+ obd2 to obd2 harness cheap as chips find a crome tuner with a dyno and tune it OR
get an Hondata OBD1 s1-300 ecu with the obd2 harnesss. find a tuner which there is plenty in sydney and tune .

But in all honesty B18B2 is simply not worth doing any kind of all motor build unless you wack on a vtec head. Theres is going to be retards who will disagree and tell you to be different but in all honesty dont waste your money. The VTEC head breathes so much better than the B18A/B head and its been proven time and time again

Your car will run like shit

    it'll chew more fuel
    have a shitty air ratio
    probably reduce power
    run rich

and you cant tune stock base maps anyway. Unless your tuner is a billionair with the Honda software.
