Affordable Wet Weather Tires for Civic FD?

Hey all, I know I haven't post here in AGES, but I come to you in need of advice...

I drive the 1.8L Civic sedan, it's not extremely powerful but I really need some tires for wet weather... I don't want to lose grip when doing a hill start in the rain. Could anyone suggest some tires in the $240 - $270 price range?

Someone suggested 'roadstone' tires, but they're $300 each...

    My wheels are 225\40 R18
    Thanks!

it will also depend where you go to source ur tyres. unless ur good friends with ur local tyre shop, some stores will charge u a bit more, so u should always shop around
