Thumbs down Mould or something inside my mums Civic boot?

Hi there, I decided to wash my mums car the other day and I noticed there was all this gunk in the boot, I can't figure out what it is, it smells stinky like wet/mouldy smell and it doesnt wash off with warm soapy water or wd40 (lol don't ask why I sprayed it, that stuff fixes everything so I thought I'd give it a try)

But yea does anyone know what it could be and what products are safe to remove it?

She was parking her car under a gum tree in the blue mountains for ages so it's happened outside.

    Thanks for your help ^___^

Ps please don't spam my thread, lol I've already been banned off here before, inc pa, ns and now from jdmst lol so no spamming/ arguring with me - thanks!

looks like rust but she said mould, so if she can get a good whiff again to see if its really mould or rust.
really cant tell if its rust or not cos of the concentration seems to be on seam sealants?

well thats what i thought it may have been some kind of coating coz i notice there was some that looked similar but not so stinky on the underside of the boot lid.

i asked one of the boys at work and he said the same thing, but seriously would a car come out off the line like that from the dealer with that ugly stuff on it?

after that take another good hard whiff, if its still mouldy.

    no, not factory.

the black mist would have come in some sort of spray or something similar. I remember my father spraying something very similar looking to that black mist.

on a side note, imagine if dat dere real black mist came in spray cans.

    gud business idea dat dere.
