    Treadstone turbo kits for b18c

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

Aim: to have more fun and more power
    Required: a car? lol

I got a jdm b18c vtir in my EG hatch
i bought this treadstone kit of a ozhonda member, it's a treadstone turbo kits for b18c7 from US.

    the kit includes:
    Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo
    Turbonetics Evolution wastegate
    Treadstone cast manifold
    Treadstone intercooler
Treadstone 2.5" Polished aluminum pipe kit
    Treadstone stainless downpipe kit
    Treadstone complete oil kit
    Treadstone silicone and T-bolts
    High flow air filter

on top of these parts, i have got myself the following to complete the job:

Precision 525cc high impendance fuel injectors
    Greddy Type RS BOV
    Walbro 552hp intank fuel pump
AEM Fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator
custom dump pipe wrapped with heat wrap
    Custom Screamer pipe
    Power FC

since the intake manifold of the b18c7 is different to b18c vtir, so the intercooler piping was altered to fit my engine.

i have to say i was going to install it myself, but since i dont have much time at home (FIFO worker), i had to give it to my trusted mechanic Zack from Cypher to install and tune for me.

everything was straight forward, as this is not a DIY guide, i wont go into details of the installation, the only slight problem was the external wastegate is sitting too high, and Zack had to custom made a 90degree bend so the external wastegate can clear the bonnet. (see picture below)

the car was running ~149fwhp before the install, and the end result is 216.4fwhp (8.5psi), 67.4hp increase.

i have to say the screamer pipe is loud, the screamer pipe is basicly a straight pipe coming out of the wastegate.

the power level is quiet smooth i have to say, i definately feel to boost when it starts kicking at 4000rpm.

    Pro:

    lot of power
noise from the screamer and BOV is amazing
enjoy the suprise look from V8 driver
lot more torque, which mean it is easier to drive on FWY

    Cons:

cant find traction with my old tyres, so i got some new 595 tyres, it seems ok, just about to get wheel spin when boost comes on, but if i am turning and boosting, the car just understeer

worry about cops everytime they are near me, always worry about yellow

missing the responsiveness of the NA engine

doesnt sound like honda vtec oooooooBAAAAAAAAA noise

    NB:
    Standard engine internal.
no LSD, but i am planning to get a LSD in a near future

    Very nice!!!!

jus word of advice, best to plumb back screamer pipe, because its illegal, anything that vents into the atmo, prepare to be spanked by EPA and popo

I just noticed you're in Perth.

In that case, good work I used to see so many modded cars in Perth.. None of them get in trouble with the popo.

I am taking my 1984 city turbo 2 man. It takes corner as good as a boat upside down.
Seriously my city sway like crazy. Not sure if I want to take it on the hill!

    Really :/

I have a fair few friends in Perth that have crazy modded cars that have never been in trouble with the Police.

For those who think turbo civic is a bad idea for the track, I am delight to report that my car perform very well on the track, kept up with the wrx and a c63 amg. With a good suspension set up, I had no problem with traction except in a slow tight corner like a skid pad
