More power please for a Euro 06 (AUTO)

    Hey All,

Had my Euro for a while but and haven't done anything to it... any ideas how i can get a bit more power from it?

I'm a total n00b so I'll be taking it somewhere in Sydney to get installed.

    Thanks,
    z0kkie

    Thanks guys...

I probably should have been more specific, especially when it comes to budget. As much has I'd love to have a bucket load of extra power, unfortunately, i also do have a very strict budget.

I was thinking only putting in about 1k... I know it's not much, but i'm not going to be taking it to the track or racing anyone...

    1K wont get you far.
My personal experience - Get a lightened flywheel if its possible. Way bigger gain than headers,hi-flow cat and intake untuned. Less noisey too.

1k? Get an intake you'll feel more response. Then put the rest in the bank and save more money.

CAI- is better and more risky for hydrolock.
SRI- not as good but little risk of hydrolock.

I'll install it for you. In return for some McDonalds. =]

Dont worry about spark plugs. Just stick with OEM and replace them if you've reached the interval.

IMO spark plugs are a waste of time unless there's aproblem with yours (i.e. not igniting the fuel properly), in which case you'd feel ultraslow and have a lot of popping and fuel smell from all the unburned fuel exiting the exhaust

for the intake it's probably a 'get together with mates' thing, it's pretty simplistic. Any mechanic should be able to do it though

Euro's are running the iridium sparks already, so really there's no upgrade above them unless you want to do the coils and firing system. If your new to tuning, I'ld say go for more torque. Try grabbing a Comptech IceBox instead of a CAI, will give more torque than power, but it's more usable. I wouldn't bother with the exhaust unless you want more sound, the stock system isn't that restrictive to begin with. If anything, headers would give a decent gain. With headers, your going to have to get an exhaust shop to install for ya. With the IceBox, you could DIY, there are threads that will show you how to install it yourself, or you could find someone off Ozhonda who'ld do it cheaper than an actual shop.
