Ok Here Are The Photos


This Is The Before And After Of The Bumper Work
It Took To 3 Hours With A Block And Hammer To Straighten The Metal Parts Of The Bumper (I Know It Isn't Perfect But Will Do For Now).


Here Are 3 Of The 4 Wheels Scrapped With A Blade To Remove That Horrorable Green Paint. 1 left to do and then a scrub with steel-wool.

Considered sandblasting those wheels? Save you a load of time, and it gets everything off quite effectively.

this maybe so for you city folk but us country folk that is very hard to do doubly so when this is my only transport and it isn't registered yet and also what do I do for wheels while they are being sandblasted????

Well More Progress On My Honda

I Received The 2 new front indicators and the side light (But sadly the side light was wrong I phoned the company and they happily sent me the right one and at no extra cost and I get to keep the wrong one too) the right side light arrived and I fitted all three (Problems again on of the Speed Nuts was missing so went and bought new ones and when I went to install it, it fell into the bumper (recovered with the aid of a magnet, it fell in again and couldn't see where it landed so I was hitting the pumper and out it came along with the original one (Once again proving that you never find a missing object until you get the replacement LOL) I install all three as you can see from this Photo.



Next is the brakes (Replacing front pad (rotors are in good order) and the rear shoes (Once again the drums are in excellent Order) I will Photograph the steps and post them here soon.

Also I was going to run another horn because mine didn't work I was checking the PDF Manual to see where to get a positive + power from and saw that there is a fuse that controls both the horn and the brake lights (Also heeded looking at) so I went and looked under the bonnet opened the Fuse Box And this is what I found



What Is Missing From The Top Photo?

If You said a 20amp Fuse You Are Right

I went and looked in my goodies box and I only had a 15amp Fuse (You And See It In The Bottom Photo) Woohoo the Horn and Break Lights Now Work!

maybe they needed it for something else, or it blew and they never got around to replacing.

There doesn't seam to be any problems with the wiring no mets that I can see could be it was just taken out when wasn't being used (But only time will tell).

Update Changed the front break pads today was gonna do photos but as you all should know is very simple on the 1990 civic you just undo the 12mm bolt and the caliper swings up you apply a little force I used a small hammer with the head resting against my chest and I held the caliper and leaned into the piston and it slid back into the caliper no real force needed, then remove old pads and replace with new making sure you put the indicator in the right place inside and up in my case, then lower the caliper and replace the bolt and job done. Goto other side and repeat all finished.

Job for tomorrow rear breaks and the replace all 4 wheels and adjust hand break. Then the front bumper has to come off yet again (Cry Cry Cry) tested the window washers and the rear works great but the front don't make a sound and you know where they are located (That's right behind the bumper on the passenger side) then it is just a phone call and wait for the gut to come and do the Safety Certificate (If All Goes Well (Which I hope it will)) Registration and I am mobile and I can go Hunting for replacement part and also back to my other hobby (Community Radio)

The Latest

Breaks Are All done.

I was going to do a series of photos but the weather here has been bad loads of rain and I just needed it done.

A Couple Of Comments On Shoe Replace
1. always wind in the adjuster First.
2. a strap around the shoes is a must
3. never work on a car without stands

Only 1 or 2 things left to do for the safety certificate have to fix the wind screen washer and my brother pointed out there is a hole in the muffler (Bugger)

I will Patch that for now and replace it asap
