    Prelude SI vs VTIR

Have any of you guys driven both.

WHat are your opinions of the overall difference in the engines torque curves and power/torque down low, midrange and up high.

How would a H23A with I/H/E go up against a H22a vtec with stock all.

The H22A has more torque and more power, both of which bolt ons won't make up for...well at least not to the point where it's enough to beat a JDM H22.

Fair enough. Also just as a side note, what's the low and mid range torque compared to a integra vtir

    H22a is a 2.2ltr
    B18C2 is a 1.8ltr
the H22a has more torque also has a much high peak power aswell.

the Prelude VTIR no matter being the 4th gen (BB4) or the 5th gen (BB6) would beat a DC2 VTIR in a straight line.
but who cares anyways if it is on the streets your going to be doing the road rules. so a matter of fact the prelude wins...looks better and has more gizmos like climate control.

Yeah fair enough. Except i thought the 100-150kg gain and the longer gearing would make it lose

i think it might be a close one.

the difference is that the prelude has pull from low revs whereas u gotta wait for ages for the 1.8 to start moving

yes it will be close on a short straight line race.
but in a longer on the prelude will just keep pulling. Prelude has all the low end power and the high end power to back it up. once its moving their quick

Integra's pull a bit harder off the line from the shorter gears as well as the weight advantage.

Prelude vti-r vs a Integra vti-r they will both be around 15s on the quarter mile.

Unless you're really seriously about your racing just have a test drive of both different cars, try a few examples for each of the respective models and then just pick what you feel is best.
If you're serious about getting out performance and want a flat out which is the faster car in general. Integra is your answer.

True. Based on cheaper aftermarket parts and support.

All in all, the H22A is a beast of an engine if you worked it the same way as the B's, setting the difference in price and third party support aside.
