    k20z2 need help!

Hey guys i am looking to do a swap either a b18 or k series into a eg hatch just for some happy laps on the track. I came across a k20z2 and havent really heard much about people using these to swap or maybe i havent looked hard enough, anyways let me know what you guys think of the pros and cons, maybe in comparison to swapping a b18, and also looking to turbo it as well, just disregard the budget for the moment thanks in advance!

Also i heard that after market parts for the k20z2 are hard to find? idk

k20z2 is somewhat equivalent to the k20a3 from the base model integra dc5

Both motors don't have the "true vtec" which is what some will say and both motors lack in power compared to the -

    Jdm k20a (Jdm dc5r, Ep3r, Accord euro R)

k20a2 from the Australian delivered dc5r and the

    k24a3 from the accord euro.

k20z3 from the dc5s (not sure about type s motors)

Your best bet is to stay with the motors I mentioned above. They all will fulfill your needs on the track with simple bolt on mods and a tune.

Of course you can do happy laps with the k20z2 but it's very slow and boring... you're better off with a b16a2 instead haha.

Also the b16a, b16a2, b18c2, b18c7 & b18c will be nice with the light eg chassis. But they are getting old and you can get better gains and outcome with
    the newer K series platform.

Feel free to pm me if you want some help

    Also look up

Hybrid-racing.com (they have all the k series parts you need to start your swap + a full guide on how to do a k-swap)

K-tuned.com is also another good place to source parts for the K series motor.

PetaxhD, your project will be an exciting one.
Sourcing for K-swap parts from the USA:
    Hybrid Racing.com
    Karcepts.com
    K-tuned.com
    PasswordJDM
    Hasports.com
    Skunk2.com
    Ebay.com is also a good
Locally, you can shop at JDMYARD
If you are a first time K-swapper, your best resources of K-series engine knowledge is the K20A.org, of course you just to keep searching to what you want to know. In regards to other parts, your local wrecker should have the other parts needed. Parts are now easy to find as swapping this engine is becoming more desirable to Honda community. You need to drive a k-swapped EG/EK Honda for you to experience the difference in power performance.

BYP Racing are known for their research and development between the B and K engine, a good chat with them can highlight the Pros and Cons between the two engines. Also a great place to get more K-swap parts for your project.
