Vibrating after cam belt replacement.

Hi guys

Just got my water pump replaced so did the cam belt at the same time. Problem is the engine is now vibrating quite a lot. I Can notice it at idle and gets more intense as RPM increases. It is bad enough that when im driving at 4000 RPM and higher the rear view mirror is blending 2 cars into one. Ha
Is this normal with a new belt and will it reduce as the belt slackens a bit???
Or do I take it back to the mechanic and say 'whats going on here'

sounds like it might be out a tooth or somethinig

By being an careless i suppose.

Some poeple remove the harmonic balancers intentionally and don't complain about shakes as bad as the OP described..

maybe the harmonic balancer's on backward (i.e. doubled the vibrations instead of cancelled them out)

wait r u a mchanic? u can't possibly leave out the harmonic ballancer or let alone put it on backwards

not possible to leave off the harmonic balancer or put it on backwards....

Consider a engine mount might be too tight / broken / loose giving you this vibration. Maybe the rear engine mount is stuffed.

Is this vibration in gear while driving ? Or can you replicate it in neutral as the car sits stationary ?

backwards Harmonic balancer doubling vibrations. Hahahaha duuuude so so so many fails right there. Doubt you know what a crank pulley is??.

Anyways OP. Id say it is a loose engine mount or two, check passenger side torque mount and rear mount. Id say passenger side, how I know?? Left mine loose and got similar thing.
