Would this be good for re-applying an emblem?

Would this be too thick? I'm going to re-apply an emblem to my car and was just wondering if it'd be good enough for this purpose. I don't want to buy tape that's too thick and noticeable when attached to the body.

    Thanks

I used very similar tape and just used a stanley knife to cut away the small amounts of excess and it came out fine

And assuming the tape in the picture is the same, estimating based off comparison of the 8mm width, that tape will be thin enough

what type of emblem? the just a H? or the H in a back ground?

Just the typical H you see on most Hondas. Not the Type R style.

ahh, i would of just gone with silicone on the little legs and let it set then push it on.

Ah, already bought the tape so we'll see how that goes.

just make sure you prep both surfaces properly first and it should be alright - soapy water then wax and grease remover

My 3M double sided tape arrived today, so I'm gonna do this tomorrow. Would a hair dryer be enough to heat up the adhesive so I can remove the emblem?

give it a shot, depends how strong the hair dryer is.

Got it done today. Took under an hour. A hairdryer was more than enough to heat up the stuff they used to stick it down. I used the dental floss method and used a flathead screwdriver to pop out the clips. I would definitely say wrap the screwdriver in sticky tape to prevent scratching the paint. Sticking it back on was a breeze.

    Thanks for the help everyone!
