How to remove the 2001 CD Changer

Hi, I was trying to remove the cd changer from the secret storage last night, after moved the 4 bolts on the top. I found no way to take it out.

Anyone here removed them before please share some experience.

I did this recently, you need to disconnect the cable for the stacker at the back of the headunit, then you need to remove the lower plastic trim behind the seat on the passenger side (not the actual roll bar trim). You should be able to see the stacker wire once that is off. After doing that you still need to convince it pretty hard to get out because it is a tight squeeze, once you get it past the lid of the secret compartment you should be able to just pull the wire through that was going to the headunit.

seem like a big operation, my head unit was changed already, i guess the cable was disconnected. Will try tonight, thanks

Don't worry, it should only take a few minutes, it took me a while to work out that you need to remove the trim behind the seat but that only takes a few seconds.
