    Question DC5R Clicking Noise

I'm getting a clicking noise when I apply the breaks just before I stop. It will only happen one in every 10 times....anyone had this issue?

Doesn't sound like brakes, maybe the CV's? Although they both look like there in good condition

    Don't mind the Noob-ness

Does this happen in a straight line or half way during a turn. If it happens on the straight then it cant be CV's

How did you check your brakes?

In a straight line....I've tried going round in circles in a dead end street and no clicking.

I've checked all bolts holding the callipers, no rattling, brake pads have alot of meat left in them and disks are sitting well

about 5 years ago when i just purchased a DC5R, it had a click now and then which progressively got more frequent. It eventually got to the point where the car stopped operating altogether and it sounded like a bomb ticking away, it turned out to be the battery though.

Was hella funny at the time cause mate and i was scared that the car would blow LOL.

    True story by the way.

edit: bought new battery and clicks stopped altogether.

LOL....It's really been doing my head in, doesn't seem dangerous....I'm just pedantic about my car!

    I know how you feel.

IF you've looked over the whole thing and you can see anything wrong then its time to move on and ask a mechanic. Im not physically there so I cannot help you any further.

Sounds like subframe / control arm movement - try retightening the front lower control arm bolts. They often loosen with this chassis design and give a slight clunk or click as the car pitches either which way
