No demos in this part of the woods but yeah, saw Toyotas getting bashed up (and Toyota owners too) in Guangdong province. Seriously stupid shit going down given the huge amount of Japanese investment here.

Bloody hell, I gotta find an Audi badge

Same engine, model code is K24Z5 or something. It puts out only 190hp because of lower compression and less aggressive mapping, so it can run on RON93 without blowing up.

Nope didn't get the Type S, I got the poverty spec with the standard halogens The Type-S comes with navigation, xenons and a sweet front/side/rear bodykit. I assume that bodykit is made in China... even the engine block is made locally.

Not sure about the push turn thing. I guess it would come more naturally. I do like the push start feature though, have it on the Prado. Press the button alone for Aux power, press button with foot on brake = start car. Nice and simple. Hated the FPV system though, where you had to insert the key, then press start. If I'm going to insert the damn key, why would I want to press the start button on the other side of the steering wheel? Making a simple thing harder, no wonder the falcon's dead.

Its stupid, i hear from my relatives over there, and anything that even resembles Japan gets wrecked like shops & restaurants too. Funny thing is, 90% of the stuff that they wreck isn't even doing damage to Japan it is only doing damage to their own chinese since it is owned by Chinese.

the mainland chinese are a very patriotic bunch. they can get worked up over anything remotely involving politics, japan or taiwan. LOL!

also, those shops that they are damaging, sometimes its intentional. apparently the insurance agents will work in cohoots with the land owners, and get a massive insurance payout for when the shits hit the fan.
