dashboard blue l.e.d conversion, need help with wiring

    Hi guys,

I am about to replace all my dashboard lights in my 1996 accord with blue l.e.ds but I've come across a small issue. I am following the steps from this site:

    http://www.ledautomotive.com/guide.php?id_cms=28

I have all the l.e.ds and all the tools but the only thing which I need is the resistors when I have to convert the bulbs into l.e.ds for the sunroof switch, cruise, dimmer and rear defrost switches. (See the steps in the following link)

    http://www.ledautomotive.com/guide.php?id_cms=26

Does anyone know which type of resistor I am supposed to use for this?

    Thanks!

Stuff like this is better in ICE section.

Whats the forward voltage and forward current of the led's your using and ill tell you the resistor required, if you have no idea what im talking about link me to where you bought them(led's) and ill see if they have the specs on the site.

The leds you linked are t5 and already have a resistor in them, its in the blue base.

what your after is a neo wedge type bulb and that will slot straight in. should be type A (T3) but measure your old bulb holder to check.

or you can use a single 3mm led with a resistor, looks like thats how its done in the diy you linked and thats how i did mine.

alternately you can try cutting open the base of the t5 led bulb you have and see if you can get the led and resistor out and mount them via the method you have linked.

Ok thanks for the tip! Ill try opening up the base of my t5 wedges and see if I can attach them using the resistor already included. If this doesn't work then ill just use the single 3mm l.e.d you have mentioned. Would you be able to tell me which resistor you used?
