    You'd be better of sleeving your block. I have read reviews on block guards, and people say they are not needed and are just a waste of money:

    hmm, i have read on about sleeving, machine shop suggested decking it which will support the walls, haven't been through or seen that process have you?

    as far as i understand the expansion rate when heated is diferent to the block and in some cases can put stress on the liners ive seen these fitted tigg welded the the block decked pros and cons im not sure ensure the water jackets are drilled in the right position and that they match up on the head gasket

    Do not use this.
    That Hondatech link is a good read too!
    If you have an open-deck Block and steel sleeves you should be able to give that Motor some serious power before you'll run into problems.
    For example my F22A (open deck, 1mm oversize bore) can push 400WHP before my sleeves start to 'move' and break the seal on my head gasket.
    I have the option of Darton/GE Sleeves but for the cost i'd happier to have a reliable 300WHP instead.
    It's not 4x4 status, think of it as "Winter Mode".

    used it on a boosted b16 (525hp)
    Works fine had no issues
    Just follow the installation instructions
