EJ8 Techometer not working overnight :(

    Hey guys,

My cluster light blew, so last weekend I took off the cluster and replaced it. Put everything back, and everything is work fine. Last night everything still work fine, then suddenly this morning it stop working . The car run perfectly. when on idle, the needle stay all the way down, and when I rev the engine up, the needle goes up to about 500 rpm max no matter how hard I rev the engine. I'm thinking the tachometer shit it self? Please help!

Sounds like a loose wire on your ignition control module.

as grify has said check the connections( spade connector to the icm in the dizzy, plug/connector on the back of the cluster)

if all intact and solid check the icm per the service manual for your car

if icm in service limit you probably have a problem in your cluster
