    bmc and brake booster

    i have done an integra 5 stud and now pedal is soft could i use either crv brake booster and mc or integra vtir as a cheaper opition or do i need to use the type r setup its weird the car the 5 stud come off was only using a standard eg brake booster and mc and it was braking fine on that

    And make sure the bleeding pipe is submerged in a container- easy to do but easy to stuff up if you are a novice

    so a stock vti booster and mc should give me some brakes because i have nothing at the moment

    also like to add, if you didnt bench bleed the bmc before installing, it does take a bit more bleed cylces to completely bleed all the air out within the bmc. that could exhibit soft pedal feeling.

    i changed mine brakes to bb4 (282mm, very similar to your dc2r brakes) on my EG using stock bmc and booster, and it was so soft and spongy no matter how many times i bleed, i even took it to the shop and bleed the system thinking i was doing it wrong.

    then i got myself the brake booster and bmc (1") from a bb4 , and the brake padles are so firm after that.

    i am not saying thats your issue, but it would be a good idea to change the bmc and booster to a bigger one even when the paddle is not spongy after installing bigger brakes. and hopefully that fix your problem.
