What would be faster, cheaper, and more reilable after spending cash? D16 or B18

What would be faster, cheaper, and more reilable after spending cash? D16Y8 or B18C

I want to make my Civic into a street legal track car, currently it has a D16Y8 and I was thinking of buying a B18C and supercharge it.

Which engine would be better if i spent around $2000 to $4000 on them?

Obviously b18 is better , but d16 turbo's go hard and are fun

For the cost to swap in a b18c and supercharge it as a "street legal track car",just dont even bother

Sell the car as is and buy a dc2r/evo/wrx

So far i been thinking going for a supercharged (if possible) and turboed a fully rebuilt D16Y8 because it would be close to or cheaper to do a b18c swap in my ek civic, what you think?

I understand and i agree with this but I owned this Civic for 5 and a half years now, and its now close to my heart that I want it forever, I was going to do up my ford escort but now the escort is the daily driver haha. If I was going to sell this, it would be maybe a silvia, 180sx or a toyota sprinter ae86

i know that feel lol , don't sell and work on it then? , if you have a Y8 in it Go forced induction (vitara pistons , aftermarket cam's ) with no tune a rough estimate from ( 100 - 150kw)

wow so you are going to spend a fair bit for that , im not sure depend's on the part's etc(Ebay turbo kit can cost about 700-1000$ / Swaybar 100-300$? / Coilovers 600- 1200$ / bushings have no clue ? / brakes if your upgrading from 263mm then Dc2 Vtir brakes might fit / don't kno the rest

haha i meant the vitara pistons , aftermarket cam's but i think i got a fair price in mind of what they worth. But if i want to turbo it or supercharge it, i might as well rebuid the engine first with aftermarket pistons, conrods, rings, valves, camshaft, etc... and maybe bore the block if possible. The only reason why I want to rebuild the engine first is because that it will be more reilable that way. my engine done 181K kms at the moment and I save my money up until it hits 210K kms or whenever it starts to loose its power haha.
