Thinking of looking at this '94 Prelude VTI-R

Hey guys, Im looking at this ad on carsales, and just wondering what your opinion on it is (without looking at the car in person, obviously...)

Im just not sure what going on with the air intake... is it supposed to look so... DIY?

Let me know what you reckon!

    Cheers,
    Russ.

    very clean looking!

the intake's been heat wrapped - a good idea to keep the charge cool

worth a test drive i reckon.

Check for oil burning and make sure you get the engine tested.

i do like that engine swap, check papers and legitness

    Cheers bro,
I really do like it, but it lacks rego... if he puts a year on it, I'll jump to have a test drive straight away.

I'll take my compression tester with me.

Anything common on the Preludes I should look at?

Looks like a good buy, looks like he has taken off the spoiler and only plugged one of the holes, check the boot for water damage/rust and under the spare tyre for water/rust

and in this photo boot looks to be fading (it could just be the photo). I mean if u look closely near the holes where the spoiler used to be and near the bottom of the back window. Obviously the white part is the sun. I can circle the part im talking about if u like

Thanks for going into that level of detail, didn't even notice the spoiler plugs...
    Hopefully they dont leak.

I think Im checking it out on Sunday, so I'll let everyone know how I go anyway.

    Thanks,
    Russ.

Also, should I be worried about the amount of kilometres on the Prelude, being 260,000 for the chassis/body/suspension and 160,000km for the donk?

Just wondering if they spit out any seals, like front/rear main?

Looks pretty tasty. I would love to have a red top in mine. Just make sure you get a mechanic to check it top to bottom before signing anything over.
