Question Is it best engine oil for Euro

After talking to some local mechanics specialist for MY06 euro 70,000km, three brands of engine oil have been recommended, which are Valvoline 5w-30, phoenix 5w-30 or Penrite 5w-30.

    Which one is good?

    Thx in advance.

    Valvoline what?

    Phonenix what?

    Penrite what?

All you gave us are brands, not "models" of oil.

    We gonna need more info.

    but as general rule.
If it's Penrite, get HPR5 Full synthetic.
    If Valvoline, use Synpower
If Phoenix use PX TECHNICIAN SERIES XTREME

Any of the 3 are fine, don't overthink it

I know Freddy and others can and will analyse every molecule but at the end of the day its not going to make huge differences imo

LOL MSDS gives me a hardon.

Semi synthetic are fine for 6mth drain intervals, but the OP's doing low kays so im suspecting 12mth+ intervals, hence recommending synthetic oil.

srsly tho, both FEO and FEO ultra are overpriced for what you get, even dealers dont use it.

correct grade for a CL9, you can go up to 0w-40.
Still havent told us what type of Valvoline/Penrite oil you're using

also how often do you change the oil.

Otherwise just pick up a bottle or Penrite HPR5 or HPR0.

    Thx for reply.

Engine Oil was replaced at every 5000km @ Dealer. But, looking for mechanic specialists to do logbook service this time, so talked to a few mechanics and only been told the limited information as above.

A ringwood mechanic mentioned semi-synthetic valvoline engine oil by email, then add 5w-30 by phone.

Don't know whether it concludes enough information.

    Furthermore
Penrite oil 10w-50 full synthetic is good or not? (from its website, it will be HPR 10)

One mechanic in Nunawarding has recommended it at good price for minor service.

    Please criticise it. Great thanks.
