    Basic B20 vtec build

Hey guys this topic might have been covered already but I can't seem to one hat I'm after. About the b20 vtec build its just for daily use. I've got a b18c2 and want to buil it with the b20. Can I keep the bottom end complete stock as in just slap the b18 top with conversion kit without changing rod bolts head studs and all? Or is it a must to do. Keep in mind this is just a daily build nothing crazy.

Are you talking about the dowels to line the head up with the block?

All you will need is the b20/vtec conversion kit and the c2 head will fit fine.

At least do rod bolts (APR). You'll need a B20/VTEC conversion kit, b20b8 block the rest will be fitting all the parts together. If you aint gonna change rod bolt you'll be limited to rpm (7200rpm)

Okay well you guys know where I'm headed at. A bone stock basic b20. Now with all this stuff put together. Am I able to use the stock ecu or do I have to buy an aftermarket one and get the car tuned?

you'll have to go chipped of hondata to tune it,
    won't run properly without it.

if you're going to drive it hard here and there, suggest rod bolts and headstuds

I've spun STOCK bottom b20's to 8k many times on stock rod bolts.

I'd still change them out for piece of mind though........
